Rest Vs. Contentment

What happens when I catch the carrot I’m chasing?
Will it ever end?
Will I ever relax?
Can I enjoy peace?

I doubt it.

I think as soon as I achieve the next thing,
I’ll be striving for the next.
Contentment is never mine.

Others seem happy.
They seem content in their not knowing.
They don’t know what they are capable of,
and they don’t care to find out the truth.
Once I knew that I could do anything.
The world became limitless.

I can’t stop.
I want to do everything.
Become everything.
Anything I can.

I can’t be content.
There is too much to do.
God has a plan,
but we must step it out.

If we don’t work,
we don’t eat.
We need to work.
Work hard.

For God.
For the kingdom.
For His people.
To bring glory to His namesake.

I want to bring Him glory.
To tell others how much He’s worked in my life.
How present He truly is.
How true He is.

His love.
His freedom.
His peace.

I know His peace,
but I can’t Find contentment.
Contentment is passive.
It’s laziness.

People don’t know they can do anything.
They may not want to.
They want to be passive,
but I don’t.

I want to do it all.
I want to bring Glory to God.
I want Him to be famous.

I want others to get a flame inside them
to stop wasting their life with
Netflix, Phones,
and self-love

Self-love becomes obsession-with-self so easily.

Love yourself by serving others.
Seeing others.
Blessing others.
That’s how to truly love yourself.

Know who God made you to be.
Your calling.
And step it out.
Take the step.

Find contentment in the movement
towards Gods purpose in our lives.
Not wasting our lives
But by serving others.

You are meant for so much more.

I want it all,
but mostly I want you to know
you have it in you.
And I can’t stop until you do.

The glory is God’s alone.

I don’t want the contentment of the world.
I want His miraculous rest.
On Shabbat.

I will rest then.
And work hard the rest of the days.
To bring Glory to His namesake.
